Nightingale

I did not know what you would bring
I was depressed at the time
I was destroyed
Desperate
You were this blast of spring
A lone star that came close enough
To touch for a long time
A lifetime

Winter hazel

A nightingale yes
A beautiful innocent bird of wonder
One that never fell
Before you I was under attack
By vultures
Fat large parasites with wings
Wings they had to tell the world they are angels
Beaks with blood and features of a pale plague
But my nightingale
You brought me
All the difference in the universe
And I shall love you for
For
Forever
